Editorial Has potential
Camp is a character-driven campground romance built on solid mechanics and genuine writing effort. Players consistently praise the story, character work, and the integration of kinks into narrative—the free-roam exploration, choice-tracking system, and gallery content show thoughtful design. However, the game suffers from persistent small-to-medium bugs that frustrate players: missing dialogue triggers (Jane's audio scene), hard-to-spot interactive elements (the fourth photo hunt, Mary's cabin entrance), and occasional progression blockers where tasks vanish from the objectives tracker. The dev is actively patching and communicative, but players report having to look up solutions or restart segments. A non-binary character (Mary) uses they/them pronouns with no explicit narrative justification, which some found confusing—though the dev clarifies it's character expression, not sexual content. If you can tolerate minor friction and occasional guide-checking, the creative work underneath is worth the playthrough; if a rough, unfinished feel kills immersion, wait for a more stable build.
