Editorial Has potential
Caerlin: Rising tells a grounded story about flawed characters caught in messy personal and larger conspiracies, with strong narrative momentum and genuine emotional stakes. Community consensus is clear: the writing and character dynamics land well, the mystery hooks are compelling, and players are invested enough to push for more updates. However, the game has a meaningful technical problem: save files from Chapter 5 and earlier do not load in the latest build, forcing players to restart, which breaks progression. Beyond that, some players find the MC's arrogance and the pace of early sexual escalation heavy-handed (one complaint is detailed and thoughtful), though others embrace the "realness" and character flaws as strengths. AI art is acknowledged and mostly acceptable, though a few visual inconsistencies (costume details changing between scenes) have drawn notice. The game is currently in hiatus or slow development as of February, so expect waits between chapters.
