Editorial Has potential
Burgeoning Bloodlust is a weight-gain action game with genuinely striking art and character design that players consistently praise. The creative work lands well for its niche audience: the premise is unique, Eupraxia's design evolution is the main draw, and the writing-and-art package justifies the experience. However, the combat is plagued by persistent hitbox and balance bugs—particularly the Orc King boss, where stunlock and invincibility frame misalignment make the fight feel broken rather than difficult, and directional knockback inconsistency punishes players unpredictably. These are real technical issues the developer has acknowledged and plans to fix. The core gameplay loop (dodge, attack, manage cooldown) is competent when it works, but for many players the bug gauntlet overshadows what could be a tight, rewarding challenge. If you can tolerate or work around combat quirks, the art and character progression justify the time; if you need smooth controls and fair hitboxes, wait for the cleanup update.
