Editorial Meh
Broken Eden is a work-in-progress action game with an engaging premise that draws players in, but the current build is hamstrung by frustrating technical problems. The most consistent complaint centers on boss fights—specifically input lag and character-control bugs during enemy attacks, particularly in the end-of-dungeon encounters, that make dodging nearly impossible and break combat immersion. Save compatibility has also been a recurring headache: major version updates wipe CG galleries, lock players out of new areas when carrying over old saves, and leave them stuck without progression paths, forcing frequent restarts. While community feedback is sparse on the creative merits themselves, the underlying game concept and character design show enough promise to keep some players engaged despite the frustration. The build needs serious optimization and save-system work before it's recommendable to newcomers, though experienced players have found workarounds (hiding behind level geometry, keeping backup saves at low completion). This feels like an early-access project still wrestling with its technical foundations.
