Editorial Has potential
Back to the College is a choice-driven adult visual novel with a genuinely interesting hook: a deceased lawyer is reincarnated into a 25-year-old college student's body and guided through a second life by a bumbling angel and a seductive demon. The moral-alignment system — where even sexual encounters can push you toward angelic or demonic outcomes — gives the game a philosophical flavour that stands out from most genre entries. Fans praise the premise, the likeable cast dynamic, and early signs of meaningful branching; the writing, while imperfect, is considered more ambitious than average. The main criticisms target execution rather than concept. Several reviewers flag the AI-generated animations as stiff, short, or simply unnecessary, and a few note dialogue inconsistencies and some comically off-scale character proportions (since addressed, according to later posts). At only 2–3 hours of Early Access content with no completed routes yet, it is undeniably slim, and update cadence appears to have slowed noticeably. Still, for players willing to invest in a developing project, the foundation is solid enough to make it worth watching — and currently worth playing if the premise appeals.
