Aunt's Secret Desires is a straightforward adult visual novel with a clear premise and appealing character models — particularly valued by players for featuring less commonly-seen Asian character aesthetics in Western 3DCG VNs. The renders are described as hot and serviceable for the intended audience. However, the game suffers from significant technical friction: save compatibility breaks between updates (v0.42 to v0.43), forcing players to restart from the beginning; CPU spikes to 100% during sex animations; overly dark visuals that strain visibility; and a confusing progression system where players hit "end of build" messages mid-playthrough despite having valid saves. The checkpoint code workaround exists but is poorly documented and unintuitive.
