Editorial Has potential
Antipoda is an ambitious early-build VN with a promising premise that has drawn genuine interest, but it's currently hamstrung by persistent technical failures. Multiple players report the game simply won't launch on Windows 11 and Linux—even after fixes, some configurations remain broken. When it does run, reviewers find competent but uneven writing (dialogue swings between effective and stilted), serviceable character models with notably weak eye work, and minimal adult content so far. The visuals recall early Just Cause, which some find charming and others find jarring. Opinion divides sharply on the male character designs and the presence of certain content (lesbian scenes, harem potential), but this is preference, not a flaw. For the intended audience willing to troubleshoot and wait, the core concept has legs; for everyone else, the launch state is too unreliable to recommend right now.
