Antipoda arrives with an intriguing premise and decent bones, but stumbles badly in execution. Early reports praise the plot concept and scope for v0.1, yet the writing is inconsistent—swinging between competent and stilted—and character models draw particular criticism for unconvincing eyes and an overall "uncanny" aesthetic that limits immersion. More damaging is a pattern of launch failures: multiple players report the game won't start on Windows 11 and Linux, with error logs pointing to missing image assets and system-specific crashes. Developer-supplied workarounds (deleting presplash files) help some but not all. For those who do get in, adult content is sparse at this stage, though future potential is acknowledged. The game has genuine ideas and the developer is responsive, but the current build is too fragile and incomplete to recommend without reservation.
