Editorial Worth it
Anne Vore is a vore-themed puzzle-adventure with surprising depth and content that kept players engaged enough to finish it. The game wraps its fetish premise (a world where casual vore is normalized) in an exploration-driven structure: find keys, unlock corridors, solve obtuse puzzles, navigate dark mazes. There's a decent amount of sexual content—nudity, breast expansion, unbirthing—across multiple routes, though no explicit sex. The build is stable and competently programmed, with frequent save points that soften cheap deaths. The core friction is design: puzzle solutions are rarely hinted, leaving players stuck on things like camera locations and artifact codes, and the five-ending system requires mysterious replay conditions (talk to NPC enough? speedrun? minimize dialogue?) that aren't signaled in-game. One player hit a progression blocker where the maid's scripted scene locked input. The art (kisekae paperdoll style) is functional but occasionally misaligned in perspective. Vore tone and sound design (belches, swallowing sfx) are intentionally grotesque—intentional enough that some found it off-putting—but the game's bleak world-building (where lives are cheap, death casual) gives it an odd coherence. Not original, but competent execution and genuine content volume make it worth a shot for its audience; general players should expect obtuse puzzle-hunting and niche fetish framing.
