Editorial Has potential
After Thunder is a fantasy AVN with an Asian-inspired setting and a compelling political intrigue storyline. Players praise the narrative depth, world-building, and character development—particularly the branching choices that shape relationships with multiple love interests (Fen, Yumi, and others). The game offers meaningful decisions with consequences, and the dev is actively engaged with player feedback. However, the current 0.3 build is rough around the edges. Multiple players report critical bugs: a 'Dissolve' transition error that interrupts cutscenes, a broken "Alt" dialogue display option that throws errors on every line, gallery crashes, and Mac compatibility issues. There are also numerous typos and naming inconsistencies (Re-ying/Rei-ying, "meats" vs. "meets", "theif"). The game is playable if you stick to Standard text display and avoid the Alt option, but these issues are frequent enough to frustrate. The dev acknowledges the problems and is working on fixes, but as of 0.3 the experience is noticeably unpolished.
