Editorial Has potential
A Warlord's Claim is a mid-development strategy/management game with real bones: players praise the core loop, dungeon design, and the freedom to build a tribal settlement through combat and resource management. The community is engaged and optimistic about the project's direction. However, the current build has significant friction. Multiple players report game-breaking bugs: companions are non-functional, the satiety system can lock into a starved state with no recovery, stat checks sometimes fail to gate content as intended (the necromancer strength check), and the training system double-charges energy/gold. There are also balance complaints around energy drain for sex and some unclear quest outcomes (should you loot or imprison the necromancer?). QoL gaps—selling items one-by-one, repetitive NPC naming, unclear companion mechanics—pile on frustration. The game is playable for patient players, but needs stability and bug fixes before it's smooth.
